It says:

  1. This is the most real world look from wood.I only wish these were in the Atlanta,GA area USA.Thanks for allowing me to look.

  2. Dear Bill,

When someone sent this to me, I couldn’t believe it! What a talented man!

    Best wishes,
    Marylouise

  3. Actually, I believe Sam Barcroft isn’t the author of all these sculptures. See: http://www.flatrock.org.nz/topics/society_culture/livio_de_marchi.htm and http://www.gettyimages.fr/detail/102265464/Barcroft-Media (notice the page’s title) I am still unable to decide if Sam Barcroft made some of these sculptures or if he is “only” the photographer.

  4. Dear Davitof,

Boy, did I miss the boat! After searching around, I find the artist of all these amazing sculptures is: Livio De Marchi. He was born in Venice.

Sam Barcroft is a media professional in UK who has capitalized on DeMarchi’s unique art and shown it to the world, through his photography.

De Marchi seems to be a well-known ‘character’ in Europe. Through Sam Barcroft’s images – the rest of the world is learning about this amazing artist!

Thanks so much for the info! I found a bio & photos of Livio De Marchi there: http://www.flatrock.org.nz/topics/society_culture/livio_de_marchi.htm

Thanks again for adding so much to the discussion!

    Best wishes,
    Marylouise
